I recently purchased this waffle maker (my first)and am happy to report that it works just as advertised. Following the directions that came with it, I used a pastry brush to "paint" a very light coat of oil on the waffle iron cooking surface before preheating. When the time came to cook the waffles, I had to experiment a bit with how much batter to put in as I didn't want a huge messy overflow. By the second set I discovered the perfect amount. There are 6 settings to choose from, It's up to you like your muffins Brown.
